The department of Life Science organized outreach programme on the topic “Diet and Health” to the faculties and students of Govt Higher Secondary School Oorgaumpet, KGF on 11th January 2017.The faculty and students actively participated and created awareness on various topics such as nutrition cycle, adultrants ,vitamins sources and deficiency .

The department of life sciences visited kolar dairy on 6th January 2017. Number of students was around 60 B.Sc students accompanied by the 5 faculty members. All the students were taken to plant visit and they were explained regarding the processes of manufacturing sachet milk and milk products. After this they briefed about the total activities of the komul dairy kolar. They provided relevant and useful information. The students during the visit showed keen interest and enthusiasm.

The Dept of life science conducted orientation programme for PUC students on 5th Jan 2017. The application and job opportunities of each subject was briefed by their respective faculties. The students took active participation and interest in attending the orientation programme.
