NATIONAL LEVEL CONFERENCE ON MODERN LITERATURE

     A one day National level conference on Modern literature was jointly organised by the Department of Kannada, Hindi and English on 24th April 2025.

The Chief Guest and the keynote speaker during the inaugural session was Dr. Mythili P Rao Academician and independent translator, former dean of languages, Jain (Deemed-to-be University) Bengaluru. She delivered an enlightening and meaningful address by distinguishing the terms modernity and modernism in learning various regional languages of our country which can assimilate the people together.

The inaugural session was presided by our principal Dr. Rekha Sethi who emphasized on the interdisciplinary approach to language in her message.

     This was followed by the parallel plenary sessions. Dr.Susheela, HOD of CDL and philosophy, Dravidian university Kuppam, Andhra Pradesh was the plenary speaker for the session conducted by Department of Kannada. She spoke on impact of regional languages in the study of modern literature.

    The plenary speaker for the parallel Hindi session was Dr.C.N.Hombali, professor in Hindi, Govt first grade college K.R.Puram Bengaluru. She presented the origin and importance of Hindi language in relevance with other languages.

   The plenary speaker for the parallel English session was Dr.C.Arulmugil Assistant professor in Sacred heart Degree College for women Bengaluru. She emphasized on the study of  English language as a secondary language and highlighted the growth of  English language from ancient times.

   After the small interval paper presentations in Kannada, Hindi and English were held in three separate venues. The faculty members and research scholars gave offline and online mode presentations. 40 faculty members and 85 Students actively participated in the Conference.

One Day Hindi National Level Webinar

The Department of Hindi organized ONE DAY HINDI NATIONAL WEBINAR on the topic “Social Concern of Contemporary Poetry” on 31st May 2024 more than 200 participants participated in the webinar using Google Meet online platform and gained knowledge on Basic Concepts of Contemporary Poetry.

Objectives:-
 The main feature of contemporary poetry has been public advocacy. Accepting human
life in its entirety and articulating the problems of one’s life with deep emotion has been
the main hallmark of contemporary poetry.
 Contemporary poetry expresses the changing values in the changed conditions of
society. The contemporary poet emphasizes the need for values because he believes that
values are very important for the welfare of the entire human race and he constantly
strives to establish values.
Satire has three key objectives

  1. To expose
  2. To ridicule
  3. To criticize

One Day National Level Seminar – 2024

The Department of Hindi, SBMJFGC, KGF combined with Kendriya Hindi Sansthan Agra and Karnataka State University College Hindi Professor Sanga Organised One Day National Level Seminar on 28th August 2024 in the auditorium from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Topic : “Importance of Indian education system in the context of national education policy”

Objectives:
Under the National Education Policy, special emphasis has been given to the study and teaching of Indian knowledge tradition. The National Education Policy has been formulated in the rich light of the eternal knowledge and thoughts of the India. In this direction, the University Grants Commission has taken an innovative initiative to connect the new generation with the Indian knowledge tradition. Under this, such concepts related to Indian knowledge tradition are being added in the curriculum of each discipline subject, through the study of which the pride of being Indian will definitely awaken in the new generation of students.

The Program was inaugurated by Professor Sunil Babu Rao Kulkarani, Director, Kendriya Hindi Sansthan Agra.

HINDI DIWAS -2023

The Department of Hindi has conducted HINDI DIWAS under SPARSH – 2023 in two PARTS One on 11th September, 2023 and 14th September, 2023. This programme was conducted in connection with HINDI DIWAS.

  The department has conducted different programmes for the Degree and inter School College Students on 11th September, 2023. The chief guest are Dr. Lakshmi Devi. D Professor Government First Grade College Kolar and Dr. Rekha Sethi Principal, SBMJFGC, KGF.

On 14th September 2023, the program was inaugurated by Dr. Rekha Sethi Principal, SBMJFGC, KGF. Ms. Meenakshi Asst. Prof. Dept. of Hindi addressed the gathering. Ms. Usha Kumari Asst. Prof. Dept. of Hindi welcome the gathering and certificates, medals were given to the winner’s Vote of thanks by Mr. Vijaya Kumar HOD Asst. Prof. Dept. of Hindi.

ONE DAY NATIONAL LEVEL WEBINAR

The Department of Hindi organized ONE DAY HINDI NATIONAL WEBINAR on the topic “SAHITHYA  ME VYANG KA STHAN” on 30th May 2023.

Smt. Usha kumari  assistant professor welcomed  and introduced the  Guest &  participants.  The Chief Guest delivered her address. The Webinar got an overwhelming response . The Department conducted live sessions on the same day.

In this  session  nearly 168 participants attended.
