The Postgraduate (PG) Orientation Programme was conducted on 18th January 2025 in the college auditorium to welcome the newly admitted PG students and to familiarize them with the academic environment and academic regulations.
The programme began with a welcome address by Mr. Mayur A Wadeyar, Asst. Professor, followed by the Principal’s message highlighting the vision and mission of the institution and encouraging students to strive for academic excellence and ethical values.
The PG syllabus was clearly explained by Dr. Anthony Gruze Thangaraj, Head of the PG Department of Commerce. He provided a detailed overview of the course structure, subjects offered in each semester, credit system, internal assessment pattern, project work, internship requirements, and examination scheme. He also guided students about research orientation, skill development, and career opportunities after completing the programme.
Faculty Members further explained attendance rules, library facilities, discipline guidelines, and co-curricular activities available for PG students. The session was interactive, and students clarified their doubts regarding academics and evaluation methods.
The programme concluded successfully with a vote of thanks. The orientation programme was informative and helped students gain confidence and clarity about their postgraduate studies.

Campus Drive Programs For Final year Students

23rd November 2024

The Placement Cell in association with IQAC, organized a campus recruitment drive on 23rd November 2024 in offline mode. The reputed company Alldigi Technologies visited the campus to recruit eligible final-year UG and PG students.

A total of 92 students participated in the recruitment process. The selection procedure included:

  • Aptitude Test
  • Technical Interview
  • HR Interview

The drive was successfully conducted with enthusiastic participation from the students. It provided a valuable platform for them to engage with industry professionals and demonstrate their potential.

The event was coordinated efficiently by the Placement Cell Officer Dr. L Jayapandian with the support of the principal Dr. Rekha Sethi, The College extends its sincere gratitude to ProSpider for their collaboration and for offering career opportunities to our students.

Faculty Development Program on “Publication Ethics in Referred Journals”

Publication ethics are fundamental principles and standards that guide the writing, reviewing, and publishing processes in academic journals. In refereed or peer-reviewed journals, where manuscripts are evaluated by experts before publication, ethical standards are especially critical to maintaining the integrity of scholarly communication. The Code of Conduct Committee, in association with the IQAC Cell, organized a Faculty Development Program on 30th May 2025 on the topic of Publication Ethics in Referred Journals. The resource person was Dr. Antony Gruze Thangaraj, Professor and Head, Post-Graduation, Department of Commerce, SBMJFGC, KGF. He spoke on the Key Ethical Principles in Publishing, Author Responsibilities, Plagiarism and Misconduct, Peer Review Ethics, Editor and Publisher Responsibilities, Common Ethical Violation and Consequences of Ethical Breaches. IQAC Coordinator Dr. L Jayapandian and 30 faculty members participated in the faculty development program.

Faculty Development Program on Smart Teaching with AI: A Hands-on Faculty Training Program

The IQAC in association with Post Graduate Department of Commerce organized a Faculty Development Program (FDP) titled “Smart Teaching with AI: A Hands-On Faculty Training Program.” This insightful FDP was conducted in collaboration with BookBytes International to empower Faculty Members with emerging AI tools for innovative teaching.

The event was held on 1st May 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM via an online platform. It was coordinated by Dr. J. Anthony Gruze Thangaraj, Professor and Head of the PG Department of Commerce. He was assisted by Ms. Shamala S, Assistant Professor, as the Organizing Secretary. The FDP was graciously supported by Dr. Rekha Sethi, Principal of SBMJC KGF, as the Patron.

The key resource person for the session was Ms. Jabeen Taj Mk, MCA Department, Brindavan Group of Institutions. The session provided practical exposure to smart teaching techniques using AI-based applications. It focused on equipping faculty with hands-on experience in integrating AI into classroom settings.

Participants learned about AI tools for assessment, content creation, and personalized learning. The FDP emphasized the transformation of traditional teaching methods using technology. Vishalini V, representative of BookBytes, served as the organizer from their end. A registration link was provided for participants to join and receive e-certificates. Faculty Development Program on Ethics and Human Values in Higher Education

A three days Faculty Development Program was successfully conducted on 29th August & 30th August 2024 Dr. Rekha Sethi Principal, IQAC Co-ordinator Dr. L Jayapandian, Heads of all the departments were present. The Faculty Development Program received an overwhelming response with 65 participants.
