Soft Skills matter because they help Students to stand out from the crowd, adapt to changing and Challenging Situations and help them to   demonstrate their leadership and strategic thinking

Outcome of the session.

Students from final year they participated in the session they were able to gain knowledge about how employers Value soft skills at work through demonstrated team activities conducted in the session.

Objective: To provide a platform for commerce students to showcase their talents, skills, and knowledge.

Mega Event Highlights:

  • Formal Welcome: The event commenced with a formal welcome speech, welcome song, and welcome dance.
  • Chief Guest: Ms. Chaitra, alumni of the Commerce Department and young entrepreneur of Chai Bakes, inspired students to focus on studies and hard work to achieve their ambitions.
  • Dignitaries: Principal Dr. Rekha Sethi presided over the event, accompanied and Speech by the HOD and IQAC Coordinator.

Cultural Performances:

    – First-year B.com students performed a captivating folk dance.

    – Second-year B.com students presented a thought-provoking drama, “Unsung Hero,” highlighting a father’s sacrifices for his children.

    – Third-year B.com students narrated the biography of visionary leader Mr. Ratan Tata.

Awards and Recognitions:

All the winners were felicitated with gold, silver, and bronze medals, along with certificates of achievement.

“Ms. Sakeena Khanum N – first year B.com emerged as the title winner for the year 2024.”

 “Mr. Yogeshwar Achari – Second year B.com secured the Runner-up position for the year 2024.”

 “The Best Student Co-ordinator Award was won by:

The Overall Trophy was won by the Final Year students, with the Second Year students emerging as the Runners-up.

Workshop on CA Career Guidance

  • Examination procedure (Levels)
  • Fee structure
  • Carrying out internal audits
  • Managing tax
  • Auditing books of accounts

Guest Talk

The Department Of Commerce organised a Guest Talk on 24/9/24 for the 2nd and 1st year B.Com students on the subject Indian Constitution and Human Rights.


The guest of the day Mr.Gideon George Jeffrey, Professor, Dominic Harvest Bible College.KGF. The guest briefed about the PREAMBLE of Indian Constitution and interacted with the students on their fundamental rights and duties.


No of participants : 250 students and 4 concerned faculty incharge were present.

Workshop on Skill Development Program

Workshop was organized for the under graduate students of B.Com, on 26.08.24  Monday by Department of Commerce in association with the IQAC


Resource Person: Mr. Prabhu Dayalan, Manager, CAD Center, Bangarpet.

No of participants: 85 students participated in the session.


Outcomes: The students were briefed about Interior Design Course, Basic Design, Free hand Sketching classes, Space planning , Event Model Making, Web Designing,  and also resource person had gave a deep knowledge about the Diploma in Graphic Designing career opportunities.
