The Department  organized  Guest Lecture for B.Sc  Biotechnology students on  “Recent Trends  in  Biosciences “ by Dr .Mahesh  M  CEO, Azyme Biosciences ,Bangalore and Mr.Ashwin.Dr.Mahesh  shared the  knowledge  on  the role of Life sciences in research field and in our daily life. He briefly discussed about  Bio pharmaceuticals,bio similar in treating various  diseases, properties of enzymes ,components  and their role in various metabolism in Yeast  and in different  organisms.

Mr.Ashwin shared his views about the role of students and time management to upgrade the knowledge to compete the global challenges.

Mr.Sarvotham, Principal.Royal Concorde Pu Colllege Bangalore also interacted with students  with his personal ex[erience  to overcome the barriers in youth life and to face the  competitive world. He spoke  about self motivation   and its crucial role in student’s life  to overcome the barriers.

Faculty members and  students actively participated and gained knowledge about Biopharmaceuticals and Bio similar,self motivation and time management.

Ms.Ramya alumini student of life sciences shared her experience about her journey in sbmjc and outside of sbmjc. She discussed the guidelines to opt and select for PG and higher studies.

The department of life sciences organised guest lecture on “carrier guidance” to throw confidence and light on life sciences for BGB student’s. The session was handled by Mrs.Sai deepika lecturer dept  of biochemistry Sambhram Medical college and Hospital KGF. The session was informative and interactive. The faculties and students of life sciences dept actively took part in the programme.

The Dept of life science conducted orientation programme for PUC students on 5th Jan 2017. The application and job opportunities  of each subject was briefed by their respective  faculties. The students took active participation and interest in attending the orientation programme.
