In 2014-15 women cell started in SBMJC KGF headed by Ms .Roselin followed by ccoordinator Suma.k.p DEPARTMENT of Management Studies , Annie Aruna Kumari Department of English .
Now, in 2016-17 women cell is headed by Suma k.p Department of Management Studies with co –ordinator MS . Sangeetha Department of Computer Science , Ms. Roselin , Ms . Lavanya Department of life sciences . During academic year 16-17 women cell conducted any activities like flower arrangement, best out of waste and so on .
During the occasion of international women’s day we celebrated the day with the inauguration by our Managing trustee Mahindra Kumar and our beloved principal Dr. Rekha Sethi .
The programme started with lighting of the lamp , welcome speech , inauguration song and dance followed by the badge distribution to new members of women cell by our principal madam .speech by our Managing trustee and principal spoke about women empowerment and the role of women in the society.Power point presentation about successful women presented by the students members to encourage the women community . Finally the women’s day celebration concluded with a special poem and vote of thanks .
Later women cell also organized free health camp for all the public women and also for teaching , non-teaching lady faculty members and girls students of SBMJC KGF and it was the great success .
Women cell and Kempegowda Medical service trust jointly organised a free health camp and the doctors where brought from Devaraj URS Medical College in Kolar .
