On 9th of September Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain College, KGF was declared as a Swachh Vidhyalaya under Mera Swachh Vidhyalaya Program initiated by Rotary India Literacy Mission and Ministry of HRD. The inspection was jointly conducted by Taluk BEO, health inspector, doctors from Rotary Club KGF and Rotaract Club of SBMJC-KGF. After a careful evaluation of the college campus SBMJC-KGF was declared as a Swachh Vidhyalaya and the certificate was presented to the college principal Dr. Rekha Sethi.

On 9th of September Rotaract Club of SBMJC-KGF conducted their first collared meeting. The agenda of the meeting was to discuss about the about the school project, DLTW experience, co-hosting of antharagange trekking and induction of new member and new public relations director. Mera Swachh vidyalaya a program of Rotary India Literacy Mission and to support PM’s Swachh Bharat Campaign in school and in college level. Rotary club of KGF in association with Rotaract club of SBMJC-KGF organised Swachh Bharath rally on 11th of September from and to King George Hall via Geetha road, Gandhi Cricle and other popular streets in KGF. In this rally more then 1500 School and college students took active part by holding creative pluck cards and singing slogans. It was an excellent opportunity to create awareness about being clean and keeping our city clean. The rally marched through the popular streets of KGF creating awareness for the public and all the students got great response and the general public distributed sweets and chocolates for students and showed their support to this cause.

The Students of 1st Year B.Com Organised ‘MARKETING EXPO 2K17’ on 7th September 2017 as a part of their MARKETING & SERVICE MANAGEMENT Paper. The students enthusiastically took part in this event and worked on the Topic: PRODUCT, PRICE, BRAND & ADVERTISEMENT.
PRODUCT: The students made models on Product Mix Length, Product Mix Width, Product Depth, Product Line Length, Product Line Stretching, Product Line Filling, Product Pruning and Product Life Cycle.
PRICE: The students sold few Products and understood how Pricing could affect the Demand.
BRAND: They students also worked on different types of Brands namely Private Distributor Brand, Generic Brand, Individual Name Brand, Blanket Family Brand, Separate Family Brand, Regional Brand etc..
ADVERTISEMENT: The students themselves created Advertisements and telecasted it. They also brought forth different types of Advertisements like Press Advertising, Out Door Advertising i.e., Posters, Banners, Stuffers, Electric Light Signs, Neon Signs, Sandwich men etc..
They also learnt about the Importance of Packaging and Presented their Models in well attracted manner and brought success to the Event.
