RC-SBMJC KGF organised a second school visit to SVR global standard school on 31st of August 2018. With the support 15 rotaractors,it was a huge success and there was a big response from the children. The visit was held to teach the children about communication skills and health problems.

The doctor who took initiative to go to a long way just to aid them and take part in their suffering. The materials includes rice , sugar, dhal, flour, biscuits, paste , brush, shampoo, toilet things and medical things
The rotaractors who took part in this suffering to provide them with basic needs where 9 Rotaract members under the guidance and support of YSD Rtn.Dr.Manjunath and also the member of Rotary club KGF The truck left KGF at 2:30 on 30/8/18 from Robertsonpet KGF to Kodagu.

National Nutrition Week is celebrated each year from 1st  to 7th September to aware the people about important tips of their health and well-being.  The national nutrition week celebration is to educate people to maintain their look and feel better.

The Department of Life Sciences is observing National Nutrition week from 1st September to 7th September at SBMC KGF. The objective of the National nutrition week is to enhance the nutritional practice among faculty member and students community of SBMJC KGF through the various activities. The following activities planned and executed to bring an awareness about the importance of nutrients   in our day to day life .

1st  September 2k18  – Inaugural session

The Guest addressed the gathering about the role of nutrients for Healthy life. She also interacted with the students with few queries and discussed the same with the students.

 3rd  September 2k18; Collage Making and Pick N Speak competitions conducted for B.Sc, BGB Biotechnology students to sensitize the students about the role of macronutrients and micronutrients and their role in the maintenance of good health.

4th September 2k18

Exhibition is conducted for the students and faculty members of SBMJC,K.G.F and various models exhibited to showcase about the sources of macro and micronutrients , deficiency  and symptoms. The objective of the exhibition is to bring an awareness about the nutrients present in the diet in our day to day life.
