Ground Scene Drawing and Elocution competition

The anti sexual harassment cell organised a Ground Scene Drawing and Elocution competition on 25th November 2024 in the open auditorium to create an awareness amongst the students and faculties of all streams with regard to Elimination of violence against women on the International women’s violence day.

The program was highlighted with the speech on women freedom and security in present scenario.

One of the major hindrances in the growth and advancement of women is gender inequality. This means that we treat males and females unequally even for the same task. This is generally in the case of rural societies. A male child is always encouraged by family to go to school, while the female child is told to learn household works.

Education Campaign

The Anti Sexual Harassment Cell SBMJFGC, KGF organised an education campaign on emotional stability and self defence on 14/9/24 for the 1st and 2nd year degree girl students of all streams.
The senior students educated their juniors regarding handling emotional bias and basic self defence technique were thought to face the real life challenges.


No of participants: 300 students participated and gained benefits.

Walkathon and Awareness Program

The anti sexual harassment cell organised a walkathon and awareness program cell on Saturday the 31st August 2024 more than 500 students, faculty members, non teaching staff participated in the walkathon and raised they are voice against women violence, justice for the victims and survivors followed by which there was an awareness program in the Auditorium on the team
“female shielding is our priority” the program was highlighted with the silent candle light prayer for the departed soul. Madam Kasturi the head department of Commerce welcome the gathering and brief the idea and motive behind organising the walkathon and awareness program.

Chief guest
Madam Charlotte Helen the head department of English brought the consciousness amongst the young generation and she educated the students about Apathy, Sympathy and Empathy.

Guest of Honor Ms. Banu millet Advocate, Robertsonpet, KGF. highlighted the session regarding the women’s responsibility in grooming the present generation and the students were educated POSH act with reference to prohibition and redressal.

Number of participants: 200 students and 20 faculty members from different streams.

Orientation and Awareness on sexual harassment

The cell organised an orientation and awareness on sexual harassment at work place for the 1st year B.Com and BBA students on 23rd August 2024 in the auditorium from 2:10 pm to 3:00 pm.

The Anti Sexual Harassment Cell briefed the students regarding the cell and it’s functioning at college. The program focused the importance of well being to human kind against harassment in various forces that triggers the national status of being unsecured. Sharing and caring with parents was also highlighted amongst the students.
