On November 13, 2024, the Student Welfare Council organized an informative online orientation session for final-year BCA students. The session aimed to equip students with knowledge about opportunities and resources available to them as they approach the completion of their program. Mr. Veer, an experienced industry professional, served as the resource person for the event and shared valuable insights and guidance.
Topics Discussed
The session covered a variety of topics designed to benefit students and prepare them for their careers:
1. Practical Training
Mr. Veer emphasized the importance of hands-on experience in today’s competitive job market. He discussed how practical training would be incorporated into their final year to ensure students are well-prepared for real-world challenges.
2. Company Projects
Students will have the opportunity to work on two real-world projects with reputable companies. This experience will provide them with practical exposure to industry practices, enhance their problem-solving skills, and improve their professional network.
3. Certificates
Upon successful completion, students will receive a total of three certificates that validate their skills, training, and project work. These certificates will add value to their profiles and make them more attractive to potential employers.
4. Resume Building
Mr. Veer highlighted the importance of a well-structured resume. He shared best practices and tips on how to craft a resume that effectively showcases their skills, projects, and achievements, helping them stand out in the recruitment process.
5. Soft Skills Development
To succeed in the professional world, technical skills alone are not enough. Mr. Veer underscored the role of communication, teamwork, and leadership, and explained the various resources and workshops planned to develop students’ soft skills.
6. Interview Preparation

7. Placement Drive in College Campus
The college will host an on-campus placement drive, bringing multiple reputed companies to interview and potentially hire students. Mr. Veer encouraged students to take full advantage of this opportunity by preparing well in advance.
